Workshop

Writing to be published - WRITERS

The writing for publication programme is offered in collaboration with the Graduate School of Social Sciences (G3S). All modules are free of charge for G3S members.

The programme consists of three modules that build on each other:
1. Starters prepares participants to commence writing an article
2. Writers guides and support them in the writing process
3. Submitters assists them in polishing a manuscript for admission.

Participation in the Starters module is compulsory and must come first. It is only possible to participate in the Writers or Submitters modules after you have completed the preceding module(s).

WRITERS

In this second module, participants put the knowledge from the Starters module into practice in class. This module provides a structured process within which participants actually write and thereby develop their writing competence. Ideally, participants work on an existing draft to turn it into a submittable manuscript; alternatively they can turn a concept and/or data into a first draft.

Writing in this hands-on module takes place in two two-day sessions. Participants are introduced to various strategies that support the writing process. In addition, they receive feedback from peers and detailed individual oral and written comments from the lecturer.
