Theorizing the Ambivalence of Care
This one-day workshop held by Dina Bolokan and Lucile Richard (in the context of the Forum Basiliense) will take place on June 6, 2025 at the University of Basel and explore the complex and contradictory dimensions of care.
By engaging with feminist, queer, trans, disabled, and decolonial perspectives, we aim to interrogate the power dynamics that shape caregiving relationships and reimagine frameworks for a feminist ethics and politics of care.
The workshop will include feedback sessions on early drafts from scholars working on these themes, alongside collective readings of theoretical texts. We invite scholars to submit abstracts (max. 500 words) for 20-minute presentations by April 15, 2025.
