From Monday, March 9 to Sunday, March 15, the University of Basel will be hosting free public workshops, lectures, excursions and other events dedicated to sustainability every day during Sustainability Week.
UNISSA (UNIted for Sustainable Student Action) of the University of Basel is hosting the 8th Sustainability Week in Basel in March. The aim of the week is to shed light on various aspects of sustainability issues, provide information about them and stimulate discussion.
The diverse program offers something for all tastes: those interested in handicrafts can learn to mend their own bikes, tinkerers can repair broken items at the Repair Kafi, those interested in fashion can get their hands on new favorite pieces at a clothing swap, those who are curious can find out about the sustainable use of resources or the interface between sustainability and mental health, those who love walking can get to know Basel anew through sustainable city tours and fans of moving images at “Trop Chaud”, the climate thriller Climate seniors get excited and join in the discussion. And that's not all that Sustainability Week has to offer!
The events are all free and open to the public and are held in German or English.
