🏳️🌈✨The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Center for Gender Studies continues!
In October, the center organizes the symposium “Citing our queer-feminist streams: STS-CH and ZGS turning 25 together“: organized in collaboration with the Swiss Association for the Studies of Science, Technology and Society (STS-CH).
This symposium explores the analytical entanglements of queer-feminist and STS perspectives by bringing together scholars who work in/on and through queer-feminist STS. As such, the event strives to foster exchange on the (historic) genealogies and (future) potentialities of bringing queer-feminist and STS ambitions together, to contribute to citing (and sighting) queer-feminist STS in the Swiss context, and to nurture connections within the (inter)national community of queer-feminist STS scholars and beyond.
To do so, the symposium features three moderated dialogues that each bring two scholars from queer-feminist STS into an exchange, complemented by multilateral discussions and time for open exchange. All three dialogues engage with a serious of leading questions, plus specific questions that relate more closely to the individual discussants’ areas of work and expertise.
