Near and Middle Eastern Studies: Two Public Presentations
As a part of the proseminar “Where is the Middle East? Historical and Geographical Imaginations” by Aline Schläpfer (Near and Middle Eastern Studies), there will be two public presentations: “Syrian Merchants in Yiwu: Locating the Middle East in Asia” by Dr. Paul Anderson from the University of Cambridge on November 7 and “Lived Spaces in the Post-Ottoman Masriq: A Perspective from the Baghdad-Damascus Route” by Dr. César Jaquier on November 21.
