After successfully completing the master's degree programs in Changing Societies, students can pursue both an academic and a non-academic career. With an appropriate thematic focus, the possibility of a subsequent doctorate in one of the participating social science subjects passes. In the non-academic world of work, the degree program opens up many interesting fields of activity for graduates in international organizations and non-governmental organizations, in politics, public administration or cultural and knowledge management. Furthermore, the degree program also qualifies students for appointments that are not directly related to the subjects of the degree program, but which require them to work independently, methodically and analytically.
