During the doctorate

Research, learning, networking, and having a say

The aim of G3S is to provide a supportive environment for doctoral students. In addition to the supervisors, we support doctoral students individually in their research work, facilitate teaching and learning formats that meet the needs of doctoral students and promote exchange within the G3S.

In addition to the coordination office, members of the G3S have twelve workstations at their disposal in a generously equipped open-plan office (including printer, scanner, office supplies, coffee machine, refrigerator and microwave).

The G3S website provides detailed information about the G3S program and other relevant events, publishes important information about the doctorate and provides contact points at the university in various matters. In order to increase the visibility of doctoral students, every member of G3S can publish an online profile about themselves and their doctoral project.

Media appearances by doctoral students are also published in our news section. Research achievements can be recorded via the University of Basel's research database. Doctoral students also have a significant influence on the management of G3S by having a seat and voting rights on the management committee.
