Critical Urbanism: Career Perspectives Day 2026 — Spring Session
Critical Urbanisms is pleased to invite students to the Career Perspectives Day, an event designed to support those preparing to take the next steps in their professional journey.
Building on previous editions, this year’s program has been expanded into two days — one in the spring and one in the autumn — with further activities to follow.
The first day will take place on 8 May 2026 via Zoom and is organized in collaboration with the Career Service Center (CSC) and the Career Advancement Office (CAO) of the University of Basel. Sessions will be led by Dr. Birgit Müller (CSC) and Dr. Marianne Mathys (CAO), who will guide participants through diverse career paths and help strengthen their application skills.
We warmly encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions, receive feedback, and connect with peers at a similar stage in their careers.
Program
- 09:00 – 10:15: Individual CV feedback sessions (10–15 min per student, by appointment)
- 10:30 – 11:00: Perfecting Your Job Application with Dr. Birgit Müller: tips on CVs, cover letters, and interviews
- 11:15 – 12:00: Finding Funding with Dr. Marianne Mathys
CV feedback slots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
