SUMMARY:Managing energy and emotions in your PhD – for more productivity
 & less stress (Part I)
DESCRIPTION:Why are emotions relevant for a successful Ph.D. thesis?\\r\\nI
n this workshop\, participants will be guided along a stress model that cr
eates awareness for the potential stumbling blocks that come with undetect
ed emotions: Procrastination\, imposter syndrome or other self-sabotaging
behaviors.\\r\\nIn a three-step-process\, participants come to identify th
eir individual stressors\, explore their emotional response and their phys
iological reaction to them\, and understand the connection with unhelpful
behaviors. They will then be provided with tools to transform their stress
ors\, manage unhelpful emotions and calm the physiological reaction\, so t
hat self-sabotaging behaviors become obsolete.\\r\\nThis more conscious em
otional management will greatly increase productivity and overall wellbein
g and thus leads to better results with their Ph.D. thesis.\\r\\nPlease si
gn up by sending an Email to j.buechele@unibas.ch [mailto:j.buechele@unib
 as.ch] until March 25th 2024.
