To do so\, we must take the time to think toget her across regions and other “borders” in order to understand more ful ly the current conditions and political situations in various regions – including gender\, race/ethnicity\, class/caste\, indigeneity\, and sexual ity\, for example – and in more nuanced ways\; to imagine feminist futur es that will be able to secure livelihoods\, sustain the natural environme nt and ensure the dignity and wellbeing of all living beings\; to produce knowledge to generate agency and to organize transnationally as feminist a ctivist scholars. \\r\\nWe recognize that neo-liberal capitalism\, Right-W ing populism and nationalism\, religious fundamentalisms and hatred toward certain religions\, militarism\, colonialism\, and imperialism form the f oundations of the world in which we exist. Through and from these\, region -specific forms of patriarchy and male dominance\, anti-Blackness and othe r forms of racism\, ethnocentrism\, class\, and caste\, heterosexism and t rans-phobia\, ecological violence\, and other life-destroying\, intertwine d forces are made manifest. \\r\\nThe overarching purposes of the series i s to understand more fully this moment\, to explore responsibilities and a ccountabilities of activist/scholars based primarily in the Global North.\ \r\\nDates/ Time: 24th September\, 29th October and 3rd December 2020\, 4 -6pm \\r\\nMargo Okazawa-Rey is Professor Emerita of the San Francisco Sta te University.
